About Plainfield, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Plainfield is a small village in Northeastern Illinois.  With a population of about 40,000 people, it less than 50 miles from Chicago  It shares the windy and seasonal weather with Chicago, but the similarities end there.  It is a place that is ideal for families and children and is a much quieter and less busy alternative to the big city.  However, it is close enough to Chicago that you can still enjoy many of its conveniences.

Plainfield has a great deal of history as it is the oldest community in the entirety of Will County.  Visit historical sites like Plainfield House or The Standard Oil Gasoline Station and step back in time.  If you visit in the warm spring or summer months then you will certainly want to stroll the downtown area. It is full of shops, restaurants and other points of interest. It was specifically built and designed to accommodate pedestrian traffic.

Plainfield sits on the Dupage River and is full of character, history and charm.  It is a nice place to live with a suburban small-town atmosphere, seasonal weather conditions and access to Chicago.  This is a Midwestern city that will win your heart but it is not the only town in the area that is charming and fun. Nearby Joliet, for example, experienced its “15 minutes of fame” in Kevin Bacon’s 1999 “Stir of Echoes.”  Scenes were filmed at the Rialto Square Theatre downtown which has been referred to as “Jewel of Joliet.” Having been included in a list of “America’s 10 most beautiful theatres,” it is not hard to imagine why it was chosen for the film. It is a great indoor attraction to visit if you find yourself in Joliet on a cold, winter day.
