About Joliet, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Joliet is an Illinois town with a great deal of history.  Just 40 miles outside of Chicago, is the fastest-growing city in Illinois and the county seat of Will County but it has suffered some economic troubles over the years.  You would never know it to see it now. This quaint, small town of about 40,000 is as charming as a Midwestern town can be! With a moderate climate similar to that of Chicago (cold in the winter and warm in the summer, it’s a nice place for kids who like to swim in the summer and build snowmen in the winter.

Most people who live here commute to work in neighboring cities.  Therefore, Joliet mostly residential. As mentioned earlier, it has recently suffered economically due to the economic downturns that have affected the entire Unite States.  Unfortunately, Joliet was hit hard and, for a while, it was a rundown town with a less than glowing reputation. It was, for a time, considered an undesirable place to live.  However, the town and its representatives did not allow the problems to ruin their community. Joliet has made an impressive change for the better and is now a lovely little suburb with nice weather, a revitalized downtown area and lots of attractions including Harrah’s Casino

Joliet does have a bit of history and experienced its “Hollywood debut” in Kevin Bacon’s 1999 “Stir of Echoes.”  Scenes were filmed at the Rialto Square Theatre downtown.  The theatre, called the “Jewel of Joliet” was chosen because of its beauty, charm and character. Having been included in a list of “America’s 10 most beautiful theatres,” it is certainly worth a visit.  If you find yourself in Joliet on a cold, winter day and you are looking for some shelter from the snow or wind, check it out.  You won’t be sorry.
