About Channahon, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Channahon, Illinois is in Grundy and Will Counties in the northeastern section of the state.  Not far from Chicago and Aurora, the town itself is quite small and peaceful.  With less than 15,000 residents, it’s a lovely Midwestern town that is as charming as it is pretty.  The weather is seasonal and is as lovely when the snow is falling as when the summer’s hot sun is beating down on the small town.

Looking for warm weather fun?  You can check out the Dupage River Trail in Shorewood for hiking, biking, fishing and more.  In addition, it would also be a lovely way to spend a spring day trip to visit the historical sites in downtown Lockport or stroll along the Fox River in Aurora.  Plainfield is historical and also has a lovely downtown area.

What to do if it is cold? Nearby Aurora is the second largest city in the state. In the winter months, you may be interested in staying warm and enjoying indoor attractions such as the Aurora Historical Society, SciTech Interactive Science Museum or the Aurora Regional Fire Museum.  If you are less interested in history and more interested in pop culture than spend a cool winter’s day taking yourself on a “film tour” of the area.  It may be a quiet and suburban region but this part of the state has been featured in more films than one might expect.  Nearby Coal City is referenced in “The Blue Brothers” and was also the partial filming location of “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” with Steve Martin.  If you love movies then you must visit Aurora and go eat at the White Castle where “Wayne’s World” was filmed.  That’s not all… head over to Joliet to visit the Rialto Square Theatre. Scenes from “Stir of Echoes” were filmed in the stunning historic theater referred to as the “Jewel of Joliet.”
